Postdoctoral Positions

Up to four (4) Jr. Researcher/postdoctoral positions are available in Dr. Michele Carbone’s and Dr. Haining Yang’s laboratories located at the Cancer Research Center of Hawai‘i of University of Hawai‘i. The center is located in the Kakaako area near the beaches of Waikiki and next to downtown Honolulu. Honolulu is one of the 11 largest US cities and offers an unsurpassed quality of life.
Dr. Carbone’s and Dr. Yang’s research focuses on the role of genetics, environmental carcinogens and viruses in the pathogenesis of mesothelioma. Their research is sponsored through grants from the NCI. More information about their research can be found at http://www.crch.org/thoraciconcology.htm.
We are looking for individuals with a proven track record of publications in top, peer-reviewed journals in the fields of molecular biology, molecular genetics, immunology, virology, and environmental carcinogenesis. Applicants are encouraged to search Medline for our publications to determine their suitability and level of interest within our research.
One of the positions available in Dr. Carbone’s laboratory is to recruit an experienced and dynamic research associate to help direct his large laboratory.
Salary is commensurate to applicant experience.
