Laboratory Support

Laboratory Support supplies the following support services for laboratory-based programs at the Cancer Research Center of Hawai‘i. This resource is operated in order to streamline and make more centralized the following common laboratory needs:

• Collecting and disposing of biological and chemical hazardous waste.
• Maintaining chemical inventories for the laboratories.
• Maintaining training records, schedule classes, and remind people who are due for training to ensure compliance with all state and federal safety standards.
• The resource is responsible for ordering and distribution of the LN2 for cryogenic purposes.
• Interfacing with EHSO on all matters on laboratory safety, such as answering questions, etc.
